Alpaca walking experiences
Whats included?
Our Alpaca walking vouchers are the perfect gift for any animal lover or if you just want to come along and try something new and have a fun day our in Yorkshire.
Walk our wonderful alpacas around our 200 acre farm and woodland and spend some time getting to know these fabulous fluffy animals. Don't forget your camera for an abundance of selfies and snaps throughout the walk, be warned, these alpacas love posing!
Afterwards we will head back to meet the rest of the herd where you can partake in feeding time and carry on snapping those selfies!

Before we start each walk, you will be given a safety briefing as we are a working farm and so safety is a priority, we will also talk to you about handling your alpaca trekking buddy and throughout your time with us we will teach you lots of fun facts and interesting information about the world of alpacas.

Anyone handling an alpaca *must* be 12 years or older. Children under the age of 12 can accompany one paying adult leading the alpaca. The walk is approximately 1.5 miles through varied terrain and we advise that if you are bringing children along they are able to walk this distance and tackle some hill walking. Please see terms and conditions at the bottom of the page before booking.
Alpaca walking and experiences.
£30 per person for a mixed group walking experience with an alpaca each.
£40 per person for private walking experiences, which will be exclusively your group.
Please note, a minimum of 2 is required per booking, as alpacas will not go out walking on their own (they love their friends too much).

Each paying adult can be accompanied by one additional person for £10 this person will not be walking an alpaca just coming along for the walk. (under 5's are free)

To book a specific date for your alpaca experience, head over to book online, otherwise gift vouchers are available in the shop and valid for 6 months from date of Purchase.

All Payments for alpaca walking and meet and greets go straight back to our farm to help care for and feed all our alpacas and help us with the cost of re homing more in the future.

What do I need to bring?

Suitable footwear and clothing, we recommend that you wear walking boots or wellies with good grip.

Please check the local weather (Tong/ Bradford) before you visit us to check you have appropriate foot wear and clothing for the day.

Children under the age of 16 must have an accompanying adult with them. Children under the age of 12 must have an adult holding the lead with them. There must be 1 adult per child under the age of 12.​
***PLEASE NOTE, If the weather is deemed to be unsuitable/ dangerous to trek in anyway, we may need to re-arrange your visit. If this happens we will call you with as much notice as possible***
Terms of booking

All bookings are non-refundable. Once you commit to buy, you are agreeing to purchase an experience voucher, which is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase or committing to the date you have chosen if booking online.

In the event you can no longer attend a confirmed booking, please let us know 7 days prior to the booking date.

Last minute cancellations will incur an admin charge of £15 at the time of re-booking.

Attempts to book outside of the 6 month validity will also incur in a £15 booking fee.

In the event the weather conditions on the day are deemed, by us, as extreme, dangerous or not acceptable to take part in the trek, we have the right to cancel and re-arrange bookings.

Whilst taking part in the trek, if any participants behaviour towards the animals or the staff are deemed unacceptable, you will be asked to leave site.

No Smoking is permitted whilst in the vicinity of or whilst handling any animals.

Please ensure that prior to your trek you check the local weather and dress accordingly. We always recommend wellies or walking boots due to the terrain. Correct footwear is essential.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to the walk, if any member of your group is deemed as having inappropriate footwear eg high heels, open toed sandals etc...

Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to walk an alpaca without an accompanying adult, per child. We will not accept one adult accompanying multiple children.

If you are any later than 5 minutes then we will have to go ahead with the walk without you unfortunately, we have a schedule we do need to stick to. Refunds will not be given and a late fee will be charged if you would like to reschedule.

Unfortunately due to the terrain the group walking route is not suitable for wheelchairs and we can not allow them on the group walk.

Private walking experiences can be adapted for mobility/wheelchair access, please follow booking instructions and let us know if you have any additional requirements.
